Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-01-31
App name: Atomic Metrix
Contact: admin@atomicmetrix.com
Website: https://www.atomicmetrix.com
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Atomic Metrix ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you connect your Strava account and use our services.
2. Data We Collect
When you connect Strava via OAuth, we may collect Strava data that you authorize through scopes you grant, which may include:
- Athlete profile data (e.g., athlete id, username, profile photo)
- Activity data (e.g., activity id, time, distance, elevation, heart rate, power, GPS coordinates), only as permitted by the scopes you approve
- Any other Strava fields returned by the API endpoints you authorize
We may also collect limited app data you provide directly:
- Account metadata in our app (e.g., email if you create an account with us, preferences, settings)
- Support communications (messages you send to support)
We do not collect your Strava password. Strava authentication is handled via OAuth.
3. How We Collect Data
We collect Strava data only after you explicitly authorize our app via Strava OAuth, and only for the scopes you accept. You can revoke access at any time in your Strava settings.
4. How We Use Data (Purpose Limitation)
We use Strava data solely to provide the user-facing features of Atomic Metrix to the authenticated user who connected Strava, such as:
- Generating training plans and coaching guidance tailored to your rides
- Displaying your own activity summaries, charts, and workout calendar
- Calculating your personal training load and performance baselines for your use
Strava data display restriction: Strava data provided by a specific user is displayed only to that same authenticated user in our app. We do not display Strava data to other users.
No AI/ML training: We do not use any Strava data, directly or indirectly, for training, fine-tuning, evaluating, or improving artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar models. Any AI features in the app run as inference only for the authenticated user who invoked them.
No analytics/insights use of Strava Data: We do not process or disclose Strava data (including aggregated or de-identified forms) for analytics, analyses, customer insights generation, or product/service improvement, and we do not combine Strava data with other customer data for such purposes.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade Strava data. We share data only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., hosting, email delivery, and similar infrastructure), acting under our instructions and confidentiality obligations, and only to the extent necessary to provide the service to you.
- If you explicitly invoke an AI feature, limited user-specific context needed to generate the requested response may be processed by contracted inference providers acting on our behalf solely to provide that response.
We do not use Strava data for targeted advertising.
6. Data Retention
We retain Strava data only as long as necessary to provide the app functionality you request.
If you use the in-app Strava disconnect flow, send a deletion request, or if our systems detect that Strava access has been revoked, we delete stored Strava tokens and Strava-derived data associated with your account without requiring a second deletion email.
If you delete content on Strava, we will reflect deletions in our app expeditiously and in all cases within 48 hours.
7. User Controls: Revoking Consent and Deleting Data
You can withdraw consent by revoking our app access in Strava settings or by using the in-app Strava disconnect flow where available.
If you revoke access in Strava, disconnect in-app, or email admin@atomicmetrix.com with a deletion request, we treat that as an instruction to delete stored Strava tokens and Strava-derived data associated with your account.
We do not require a second deletion email after an in-app disconnect, and we do not require a second deletion email once Strava revocation is detected by our systems.
7b. Accessing Your Data
You have the right to access the Strava data we have stored about you. To request a copy, email admin@atomicmetrix.com from the address associated with your Atomic Metrix account and use the subject line Data Access Request.
We will provide the Strava-related data we currently store for your account in a reasonable electronic format, together with a summary of the categories of data we hold. You can also revoke our access to your Strava data at any time by visiting your Strava account settings at https://www.strava.com/settings/apps.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data (e.g., access control, encryption in transit, least-privilege access). We never store your Strava password.
9. Strava Usage Data Notice
Strava may monitor and collect usage data and information related to our access to and use of the Strava API and platform ("Usage Data") for business purposes, including compliance monitoring, support, and improving the Strava platform. This Usage Data collection is conducted by Strava in accordance with Strava's Privacy Policy. By using Atomic Metrix and connecting your Strava account, you acknowledge that Strava may collect such Usage Data.
10. International Transfers
Our servers are hosted in the United States. If you access the app from another region, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we change the types of data we request from Strava or how we use it, we will notify you and obtain your consent where required.
